THE FIRST EMBASSY

Written and performed by Ronald Keaton

The First Embassy THE FIRST EMBASSY deals with the American patriot Benjamin Franklin and his experience in France during the American Revolution. It also tells the story of Ben's experience with his grandson, Temple, who became his secretary and whose relationship slowly changed during their time together. The play's title comes from the fact that Ben was indeed the very first chief diplomat for the United States to a foreign country, and that Paris was the first embassy for us to do so.
